Taming the Cruel

by Gambitt

There was a furre that had loved a beautiful maiden. The problem was that he was a known as a very dangerous furre. When he consulted the parent's permission to marry, the family never wanted him (or anyone like him) for their daughter, no matter if they recovered from the urge to kill, or not. So, the father apporached the furre and coyly stated that he didn't want his daughter to be hurt. The furre gave the lover a few tasks, and if they were dine properly, he could have their daughter's hand in marriage.

The supposed killer agreed and decided to try the first task. He was supposed to go onto the town streets without getting in anyone's faces or making anyone annoyed. When he went to the streets, he set off like a bomb and almost got someone killed. He decided to try and change his ways as he went to practice calming methods. After try this for a week, he took to the streets and succeeded.

The second task was to have dinner with the family. And if you were there watching him, you'd see there was much to be desired. So, the furre studied cleanliness and proper attire. After a month of this, he went back to the house, had a great supper, and passed the second test.

The third task was the hardest. He was to go for a month without doing anything wrong, making the town actually trust him. The now calmer furre agreed hesitantly, and replied that he will do it for love. So, the furre went out into the streets, and as you'd expect, he was back to his old habits. This time he tried everything to calm him down, and he never stopped until he felt ready.

It took him 10 months to make himself a new furre. After finishing the month, he went back to the family, proved his kindness, and to the enlightening word of "yes," thanked the family for their desicion, and finally got their daughter's hand in marriage. The daughter and the new furre lived healthier, happier lives.
