Down the forests of outer Meovanni lived a town of lemmings. Their king, the greedy King Mollocus, worked the lemmings to the last ounce of will just to make his dinner, to make his toes shine, and to have his eyebrow plucked. The lemmings were out of hope, when finally a wizard appeared in town and met with the king. King Mollocus, who has dealt with wizards before, gave him three tests to prove his sorcery.
After the wizard past three tests, he offered the king a wish because of making a wise decision of testing him. The king was delighted and worried about the lemmings rebelling against him, so he decided on a simple wish. Everytime he said the word "Malla," to someone, they would love him, as a king of course! The wizard, giving an evil grin, cast the spell upon the king, and left to other kingdoms. Mollocus, overjoyed with his new power, called for a meeting of all lemmings in the area.
After assuming all in the village, he began to start his speech. In one sentence, in one word, in one second, all the lemmings in the area started to run towards the king and worshipped him like a god. Unfortunately, one lemming could show for this hypnosis. His name was Tolof, and he was too ill to go. When he awoke the next morning, he saw the frightful sights of his family and friends going towards the king, bringing him gifts every second, while his eyebrow were plucked, etc. Tolof had no clue to what the situation was about, so he tried to stop the lemming from serving the evil king. No one listened, and kept on with their work.
This gave Tolof an idea. After climbing over everyone to get to the king, Tolof saw Mollocus and called to him. Mollocus made room for the lemming, as Tolof explained something to him. "Sire, you are loved by all, and surely, you must love yourself in return to make you happier." And with that, Tolof directed the king towards a mirror. Not knowing of what was going to happen, the king exclaimed "Malla" and was totally captivated by himself! His lust for himself took over his mind, as he ran toward the mirror, and crashed. The lemmings returned to their normal selves and appointed Tolof as the new king. As for Mollocus, well, he won't live long enough to see Tolof's reign.
Moral: Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.
