Furcadia's Egyptian celebration, Festival of
the Sun, honors the Prime of Felines, known as M'Rill.
Starting July 3rd, our Festival of
the Sun includes many spectacular features such as a barge ride
along the Nile river, the Lighting of the Fires of Neith
celebration, games of Senet, and an
interactive marketplace.
Contests: There are four contests held for the Festival of the Sun!
-- All contest entries are due by July 10th, at 11:59 FST!
-- All entries are to be sent to the specialized submission form!
-- The contests will be prejudged before posting and finalists will be posted on the Festival page and in the dream.
-- Any entries not meeting the requirements will be disqualified and none are guaranteed a prize.
Dream Contest: Theme: Sun
-- The theme requirement for the Dream Contests is 'Sun'. As such, contestants are encouraged to enter dreams showcasing things such as summer Solstice, fun in the sun, keeping cool in the heat, global warming, Indiana Jones, and Egyptian sun worship. Whatever says, sun!

Flyer Contest:
-- All flyers are the original artwork of the contestants. Use of Furcadia artwork, both web and game, is permitted.
-- You must send us a picture of the flyer printed and posted somewhere as well as a copy of the flyer.
-- Flyers should be either a half-page or full-page and in color.
-- Flyers must be in .gif, .jpg, .png.
-- Entrants give permission for anyone to use their flyers.
-- Submit your entry!
Write a Play Contest:
-- You should write a play that could be used in Furcadia.
-- You can use the Furcadia official canon, something about your own characters or something original.
-- Stories must be your own creative work. Plagiarized pieces will be disqualified automatically. Derivative works of something written by someone else are okay only if its public domain. (i.e. Little Red Ridingcape and the Big Bad Wolven).
-- Stories must be no more than 5,000 characters and we suggest they use line break html for formatting.
-- Stories will be put on the contest page for public viewing.
-- Submit your entry!
Coloring Contest:
-- Check out our fun Summer Picture.
-- Artists may use traditional or digital means to color the picture.
-- Picture must be resubmitted at 25% the size that we offer the image (620x820 pixels). The image is offered at such a large size to make it printer friendly.
-- Picture must be submitted in one of the following formats: .jpg, .gif, or .png.
-- Only one entry permitted. Traditional and digital coloring will be judged separately.
