Spring Festival! All furres are invited to help Jujinka bring in the Spring, March 20th in the
dream in the Festival Grounds. This festival is about
, meaning everyone should come in character prepared for a Medieval Spring Festival. There will be spring events including games, egg hunts, booths, and Maypole dancing.
Players are encouraged to organize events on the stage; it's also rumored that some
will attend the festival. Feel free to have picnics in the Festival Grounds or throughout Furcadia, or even visit the

Contests - Theme - Bloom

◊All entries must be received by 11:59pm FST on April 14th.
◊The contests will be prejudged before posting and finalists will be posted on the Festival page and in the dream.
◊Upon submission, you grant Dragon's Eye Productions permission to post your work and share it with the community. Dragon's Eye Productions may post, edit, and distribute creative contributions made through contests freely to players and for promotion of Furcadia.
◊Any entries not meeting the requirements will be disqualified and none are guaranteed a prize.
◊All entries must conform to Furcadia's T+ standard or lower.
◊Please note that while players may enter more than one contest, only ONE entry is accepted for each contest.

Animated Portraits Contest
Spring is about blooming and new things! It's time for artists to show off their talent in one of Furcadia's new features--the
animated portraits!
◊Artist contributes one portrait. Species does not have to be chosen from those currently available as Furcadia avatars.
◊Animated Portraits do NOT need to follow the "Bloom" theme!
◊Animated Portraits can be no more than 50 frames.
◊Since all animation will be done in Kitterspeak points will be given for showing advanced Kitterspeak techniques.
◊Portrait must be submitted in a zip file containing both one .fox file, and one image of your portrait in .gif, .jpg, or .png.
◊Entries must be the original work of the artist, made specifically for this contest. By participating in this contest, the artist agrees that their entry piece is free for anyone to use.
◊Portraits must meet the
guidelines for E8+ or T+ standards.
Participants may upload an edited version of their work until the contest due date. If you do so, please put the date of the edit in the notes section so the events team can make sure the right art is posted.
Haikus
A haiku is a form of Japanese poetry. It consists of 17 syllables, in three phrases containing 5 syllables, then 7, and then 5, respectively.
◊Haikus must follow the festival theme of "Bloom".
◊Haikus must be T+ or lower.
◊Haikus may be multiple stanzas long.
Blooming with Friends!
We all have friends outside of Furcadia. This spring, we're striving to make Furcadia "
Bloom" with new friends.
◊For every friend you bring to Furcadia (must be new players) that you tell us, we will award you 5 SD. The top three participants with the most new friends brought in will be awarded an additional prize!
◊Participants need to report full character names and where they know the new friend from.
◊Friends need to download and make the character on their own computer.
◊Participants may only claim friends that have joined Furcadia between the start and end dates of the contest.
◊Furcadia Staff will confirm that the newfurres are indeed new accounts.
