Joining the Help Channel

Because of the advanced nature of the calls recieved in the Help Channel, all accepted into the group must have a minimum of six months in Furcadia. Help Channel Beekins generally have a wide base of Furcadian knowledge, and have a strong understanding of Dreams, Dragonspeak, and Patching, as well as Basic and Advanced Furcadia commands. While the Help Channel Beekins share a channel with the Bugges, they should also know how to troubleshoot basic connectivity and program problems. There are also general characteristics that the Heads look for in a future Help Channel Beekin:

1.) Patience and Maturity: While Help Channel Beekins are well-versed in Furcadian knowledge, others may not be. A Helper must understand that with their badge, comes responsibility, and that responsibility is to help others learn. Help Channel Beekins must be willing to spend seconds, minutes, or hours with one furre, even if the question is as simple as, "How do I whisper someone with a space in their name?" Every Helper needs to present a friendly face when their badge is on, even if they become frustrated.

2.) A Desire to Teach: Members of the Help Channel must want to teach others, and have the drive to push those others to their full potential.

3.) A Desire to Learn: Help Channel Beekins cannot be afraid to admit that they don't know, and they're all taught that it's okay to ask for help. They have many resources at their disposal, including other Beekins sharing the same channel. With the constant updates to Furcadia, every Beekin must be willing to stay up to date on new problems and commands.

4.) A Love of Helping: When most Help Channel Beekins join the Help Channel, they find that their love of helping is made greater by just the first "Thank you!" from a furre that they've helped. This is something that future Beekins should have, and want to continue to have and fuel in the immediate future.
