Furcadia's 14th Birthday
On December 16th Furcadia celebrated turning 14 with Free Digo Day!
Furres tried out all the new avatars and shared stories, new and old, with Furcadia friends and family.

Pounce - Buddy list and More!
We've added "Pounce": a buddy list with whisper windows, letting you see at a glance which friends are online,
and message them. Additional Pounce features include:
- Dream Bookmarks
- One-Click Join/Summon
- Easy Ignore
- Offline Whispers
- Watch for friends while not on Furcadia
- Organizing friends into groups
- Keep notes about your friends
- Audio alerts when a friend whispers or comes online
- Custom AFK Messages
Animated Portraits & New Portrait Levels
Did that portrait just move? Animated portrait spaces are now available.
Use KitterSpeak to make your favorite portrait come to life!
Also, while most areas are still Teen+, Hawthorn and Furrabian Nights now allow M16+ and A18+ portrait standards.
There's also a new Spice News Channel for those areas!
DragonSpeak Messages and Other New DS!
Manipulating numbers in DragonSpeak is nothing new, but now you can do the same with
text strings.
From people's names, to things they say, and beyond, this is a powerful step for DragonSpeak. Other additions to DragonSpeak include:
- A new filter to make everyone in your dream talk piratey, arr!
- Cookie Economy: have your dream take in and pay out cookies.
- Animate player movement between spaces.
- Track multiple furres in a game better than ever before.
- much, much more.
Lake Resort dream
We have a new welcome area called Pineapple Lake Resort, full of games,
a
cookie economy and fun things to do.
Try out our elaborate new Kitchen Khaos game, fishing, a mushroom hunt, or cart races!
There are also portals to three classic game & puzzle dreams by Graphite:
Dropout, Jujinka's Playground, and Puzzle Mansion. Hours of entertainment for you and friends, new and old!
Edible Desctags
Introducing edible desctags; delicious digital treats for your avatar.
Eating desctags can have a variety of effects, from a Digo avatar for an hour, to a change in your colors, or maybe something really crazy!
You can have your cake and eat it too - or pie, muffins, candy canes, pongo juice, pillows... Pillows?!

Technical Improvements
Furcadia has moved to newer, more powerful server machines for less lag & quicker server restarts!
We've fixed a lot of bugs, and the dynamic avatar system allows new avatars without needing a client update.
Coming soon we also have a faster and more reliable method for dream uploading and downloading.
