Growing Later
Bella was a procrastinator,
Who found the deadline growing later,

Rather than join contests,
Which is why this poem could be greater.

Happy B-Day Eric
An April birth came a boy named Eric

Colloquial amusement
December 16th 1996,
Furcadia was born for dudes and chicks,
Things happen slow,
But we constantly grow,
As a community of people who mix!

Talzhemir, Felorin, Emerald Flame,
A begging fox who's kinda lame..
The beekins, the sponsors,
The artists, the coders -
And all of the people who play the game!

A lot of people keep this place going,
A communal effort is certainly showing,
With the luck of the primes,
We'll continue through time,
As a game that's constantly growing!
   -- CrunchWard

Garden
There once was a bunny named Hunny.
Whose garden was the talk of the town.
She watered it daily.

And enjoyed the giant Carrots in winter.
   -- Demetri Shadow

Pregnancy
I see the blue stick pregnancy test,
To have this gracious gift I am blessed,
To be a mother soon,
Some late May or mid-June,
And create my sweet cozy bird nest.

I am anxious to hear your soft cries,
But they are calming pastel blue skies,
I dress fleecy white silk,
Bottle your cloud warm milk,
Sit on the porch to watch the sun rise.

I get starving for some grape jelly,
Or a ham-cheese sub at Pat’s deli,
We eat all the same food,
Hunger is a common mood,
Watching you grow inside my belly.

So when the pain begins to appear,
I shall sweat red so wildly severe,
And more often than not,
I may be distraught,
But I know you will soon be here.
   -- Dini

On the grass we lay
The bees we do fear

A Spring Headache (From Allergies)
Far off memory from long ago...
The crossroad, the split, we'll never know
How all could have been.
Much to your chagrin,
That's all we mean when we say "to grow."

The awakening of blooms will start.

Why Would I Leave?
As the flowers rise up with their kin,
The earth holds their pale roots deep within,

Spring Has come once again

Untitled
Dappled golden sun, glitters down through
verdant green leaves, and a sky so blue.
A fairy of small size,
is struck by surprise,
to find a great oak tree knocked askew.

Fluttering down, wings shining brightly,
never knowing that two stepped lightly.
On the trail they found
a seed upon the ground
And a fairy who was so sprightly!

Pongos
I planted some itty bitty pongo-tree seeds
On the bank with the willows and the green rush reeds;
And I left it to sprout
in my little earthen grout
and took along the path back through the dusky trees.

I quite forgot the sprout as I made off home
back to Naian greenery and Allegrian halls of stone
to Furrabian market-days
and Goldwyn alleyways
and my daytime wanderings in old places I'd known.

Several years had then passed, when by and by
I came upon that pongo-tree grown to the sky
its branches strong and fair
I idled a while there
and climbed up to look out at ten meters high.

The tree was growing little seeds of its own now,
and I gathered some myself on the long climb down
but I left a few behind
in case someone should mind
to plant their own pongo in the dark and hilly ground.
