Acrostic Poems

Title: Winter Magic
Author: Abel Carter

When Summer is too much
Into Fall we roll
Need something more
Than that chilled Autumn breeze
Exit the season as soon as we can
Run straight into Winter and let the snow fall down

Many people call it their favorite season
All of us know that simple reason
Going outside to play in the snow
It is the thought that in Summer
Can keep us all going

Title: Winter Magic
Author: Alanna Sparrow

When the beauty of winter is reborn
Icicles look like crystal unicorn horns.
Nature turns from firey hues of autumn
To the soft blanket of white for winter where
Every little detail seems to have been painted.
Reindeer fly in the stories of children,

Magical elves help make toys.
An angel watches over us all during this
Glorious time of year when all gather
In the meaning of peace and love.
Come and gather with with us.

Title: Holly
Author: Archery

Happiness surrounds
On wintery evenings [with]
Laughter abound,
Love surrounding all [in this]
Yuletide glee.

Title: Magical Memories and Snow
Author: Arlim Meadowton

When magical winter memories are made,
in our hearts we hold them so they will not fade.
Never forget the magic that arose
the first time a snowflake touched your black nose.
Entertain with stories while other furres listen.
Relive the first time snow made your fur glisten.
Make the snow on the ground under your paws
art that will make other furres drops their jaws.
Gather it into art your heart's magic has grown,
into snowballs for fights through which friendship is sown,
collect it into winter magic all your own.

Title: Asmirs Acrostic
Author: Asmir

Wonderous falling of snow.
Into our dreams it will go.
Never wanting to miss the day.
The day where santa will come.
Enjoying our cookies and presents,
Ready to be under the mistletoe.

Many a people anticipate this day.
A day where we all live carefree.
Give me happiness and wonder...
Into our dreams it will go.
Chestnuts and cookies and plenty of things, make this day worthwhile.

Title: Watchman
Author: Augustine

Wherein lies the warlock Winter - blitzing Kasuria - in Castle Cold.
Impressions of furlings dance his Farsight Crystals; they are...
Now lost to the grown-ups' forgotten fantasy.
They wait in good spirit for the annual Night Ride,
Ever dismissing their previous pranks and unwell doings.
"Ride, Santa Paws, ride!" sing they, eager for that magic day,

"Milk and cookies - presents and cheer! I promise I've been good this year!"
And this time is fleeting - the childhood splendor; hold what you still can.
Gather dear-ones close and wait by the windows with Festival tree a'glow
In dream-like hope for the jingle-bell sleigh and jolly elf's arrival, while
Cackling Jack Frost keeps the season white.

Title: The Magic of Winter
Author: Camillia

Winds blow
Ice through the
Nitches of the
Tiniest places,
Even through the
Roof!

Mayhem made by the
Arctic storm
Growing bigger and bigger
Ices over the roads,
Causing slipping furries!

Title: Frosted Fight
Author: Chalk Lit Pudding

We gather in the pale morning light to fight an epic war
In the foreign land that's appeared outside of our door.
Night has left behind a white blanket, powdery and fresh.
The two sides duke it out for hours upon end.
Eeach soldier fights hard though it is friend against friend,
Running around like lunatics until we all stop to rest.

Men with buttons for eyes guard our frozen forts, with
Angels' silhouettes on the ground as guardians of sorts.
Good fights were fought by all, but only one side was victorious.
In the end, there's hot chocolate before we head off to bed
'Cause when we wake up tomorrow, we'll do it all over again!

Title: Between Fade and Rebirth
Author: Dances With Fireflies

Wisps from frost-chilled sky paint landscape anew,
Illumination for eve solely from hearth, by sun's adieu.
Nearby bodies huddle for warmth, yet nary a frown seen,
'Tis a season for togetherness, for the hope and the dream.
Excitement meets each day, mittens let fly the arrows of war,
Rowdy, scarf-wrapped soldiers battle 'till final laughter's roar.

Miracles seen rampantly between the time of fade and rebirth,
Allowed not by wish, but bond of those between heavens and earth.
Generosity traded freely without haggle from one hand to another,
Inside the heart a greater gift, between lover, stranger, sister, brother.
Close comes with first hint of green, magic remains with each memory seen.

Title: Returning home on Christmas
Author: Darrk N'vetay

Winds are chilled
I fluff my fur rubbing my paws to keep warm
Nearing my den I see my mate
Tears of happiness run down my muzzle
Even the sight of him makes my spirit soar
Red packages hide beneath the tree

My smile widens as the time nears
A simple gesture of his paw tells me to open mine
Glistening diamond collar in my paws
I hand him his gift
Cuddling up in the cold winter morning

Title: Furcadian Winter
Author: Dodo

Watching the snow fall
In Naia green so well
No furre can be seen
Time will only tell
Every stocking is hung
Rocking over a fire

Music boxes sing with much desire
After the sun rises
Girls and boys dance
In every Allegria dream
Calls a snowstorm of chance

Title: Winter Magic
Author: Nature

Whitest of them all, purest of the pure.
Imagine the unmistakeable wonder of the children as they wake to the first snowfall.
Never once do they skip a beat when rushing to the dusted door mat.
Trance like it would seem, as they stare up into the flurry of flakes.
Engaged in the complicated business of something so beautiful yet simple.
Relishing the sensation of burning cold upon their rose red cheeks.

Mad with jealousy, they try to imitate the whiteness, as they run every which way.
A gust of breath is made into an elegant dream.
Gliding gracefully like a swan in familiar yet strange water.
Imagine the unmistakeable wonder of the children as they wake to the first snowfall.
Careless and free in their ways.

Title: Frost Flowers
Author: Erik of Shadows

Fragile
Ropes of honeysweet frost
Old forgotten magic in these petals
Smooth and satiny
They are rare as falling fire

Fantastically
Laced out from an old
Oaken sprig
What cruel prime has killed the tree's life for this
Ethereal, sweet, icy
Rose

Title: Snow Skirmish
Author: Ferabird

Wailing shrill battle-cries,
Incorrigable youths
Nail their fellows with
Tightly-packed snow.
Eyes sparkling above scarves
Ragged from use,

Mischievous soldiers
Array for play-battle.
Giving up only when
Icy winds chill their paws.
Cocoa-bribed truce.

Title: Winter Magic
Author: Hotti

Winter Magic

Windows open to the landscape.
Intense weather bearing down upon us.
Night slowly over takes the daylight.
Time ends for a moment as dreams takeover.
Ever fading nightmares screaming inside.
Repeating the horror again and again.

Morning begins a new dawn of time.
Altering forever the evil of sleep.
Gently an aura takes over my mind.
Immense relief floods through me.
Calm has banished the fear forever.

Title: Wintery Words
Author: IV

Whispers of snowflakes on the wind, blowing promises of white serenity in the air.
Inside each home, an open fire crackles with amber life, glowing with seasonal warmth.
Notes are exchanged, organising meetings with eggnog, and festivity and joy.
Time has come for families to get together, for fights to be forgotten, for peace to come to all.
Everyone takes comfort in the falling snow, in the morning dew, in the crunch of frost underfoot as it coats the land.
Running children frolic, snowballs flying through the air with playful accuracy.

Merriment fills the decorated halls, strung with ivy and holly wreaths.
Again and again, year after year, the festivity never ceases to bring a smile to the soul.
Games are played by friend and foe, grudges and hate set aside for the time of goodwill to all.
In the snow-covered meadows, kitterwings' frolic in the falling flakes, gambolling in the sleeping woodlands.
Celebrate, for winter and the season's magic has come again!

Title: Winter Magic
Author: Jahzara

Warm toasty mittens, covering cooling fingers,
Icicles glittering in early night.
New fresh snow, in soft layers on the ground,
Teensy snowflakes floating to earth.
Exotic world of new wonders,
Ready to be discover.

Mad dash for down coat and snow boots,
Arctic chill runs down the spine.
Gaining speed, arms flung open,
Into the soft powder you fly,
Coming down from elation to remember the magic of first winter's snow!

Title: Magical Winter
Author: Jikan

Wisps of cloud and snow and
ice shimmer bright Intertwine with soft scents of cinnamon
Nutmeg and pine. A shining golden light
Twinkles in the sky like a fading sun,
Enriching the earth with warmth and goodness.
Raining down from above come crystal flakes,

Mixing with the chill, making happiness.
An ageless force that purifies and makes,
Giving warmth and hope in spite of the frost.
Immortal guardians, hosts angelic
Continue to bring us our winter magic.

Title: Winter Magic
Author: Kagome Inu

Whistling creatures are hiding
In the sparkling snow
Noiselessly awaiting
The wonderful magic of winter,
Even when the snow melts away,
Remembering the magical season of winter doesn't end.

Magic is awaiting in
All of the wintery sky,
Getting ready for the most magical part,
In which the snowflakes
Carry tiny bits of joy to every person.

Title: Winter Haikus
Author: Kaze

Wilted flowers show
Indeed it's starting to snow
Need I say let's go?

Even if you're young or old
Running out so bold

Making some snowmen
And snowball fights are mayhem
Grins are had again
It is known to all
Come have fun, watch that snowball!

Title: Sensation of the Season
Author: Master Storyteller

With times passage all but one season remains
In the minds of all people, locked deep in their brains
No season is given to such wondrous extremes
To give bleak chills one moment and the next childhood dreams
Every man knows it, whether they voice it or not
Real joy springs from winter, in its magic we’re caught!

Mistletoe hangs blessing lovers who care
Angelic choirs sing of things fae and fair
Green and red lights spark the night with their flair
Incorrigible children stay up late as they dare
Caring and love swirl on cold winter air.

Title: things of winter
Author: Nail'd

Winter Magic is always fun, with
It's snowball fights three months long.
Nevermind the cold blowing air, for
There are snow angels made everywhere. And
Even when you leave the snowman outside at night, just
Remember that christmas tree inside's wonderful sight.

Mistletoes are always great, with
All the lovers mistletoes create. But
Giving gifts is most important of all,
Its for every snow fur whether your old or small,
Christmas cheer goes for everyone.

Advancing through the perplexing
Godforsaken tundra
Ignited in an allurement
Captivated by the soul of the enchanter

Title: Winter Magic
Author: Rosen Repentence

Wonderful snowflakes, floating about.
Innocent purity knowing no bounds.
Nickels or dimes, it costs not a cent.
Timeless spirit and beautiful moments.
Evergreen trees accent the white.
Rivers and streams, frozen tight.

Moonlight bathes and lights the world.
After dark is when true beauty unfurls.
Glittering ice crystals dangle from trees.
Inviting warm cottages surounded by the white snowy sea.
Cool, never cruel, this season means the most to me!

Title: The Magic of Mistletoe
Author: Rose Doherty

When two souls come together
Inside the archway
Neath the hung mistletoe
They spark a fire
Ever filled with desire
Reaching their hearts, setting them aglow.

Many have stood here before.
Above them they stared,
Gathering the courage to steal a kiss
Ignoring those around to the love they have found
Catching their lips, and finding true bliss.

Title: A Mid-Winter Night's Musings
Author: Wistful Dragon

White and pure, yet cold, a paradox of all things that grow,
Inadvertantly masking everything like the waves of a white tsunami,
Never revealing its secrets to anything but the gaze of the bright winter sun.
Though try as it might, the cold sun is banished by the cozy winter night.
Eerily casting shadows, the moon smiles down upon the glittering land of white,
Revealing a mystical beauty that makes the season's magic become clear.

Mystical, marvelous yet mute, the frozen land sings a silent Psalm.
Alluring to young and old, it beckons for one to love from their soul, their alma.
Glistening, golden grays unmask the beauty of the land: birds, trees, animals - alive all along.
Is this the feeling that, on that night so long ago, had lent inspiration to the magi?
Calming and caressing the hearts and minds of man, the beauty of life where everything seems baren, winter's true magic.

Title: Christmas Cheer
Author:Wyndlily Sharphowl

When I wander from dream to dream,
I see seasonal touches and festive themes.
Naia is crowded with penguins and reindeer,
The entire community is filled with cheer.
Entering Allegra Island is always exciting,
Rascally furlings there enjoy snowball fighting.

Making my way to Digo Market,
As a pile of DragonScales jingle in my pocket,
Getting holiday shopping done is easy this year,
I buy candy canes as gifts for those I hold dear.
Christmas, at last, is here!

Title: A Verse for Danival
Author: Yasmeena

Warm sips of cider thaw a heavy heart
In rocking chairs beside a glowing fire:
Now furres of every snowy vale will start
To don their wintry boots and warm attire.
Ethereal, flakes fall from tender skies
Replacing chilly greys with lucent white.

Meand'ring pawprints dust the snow that lies
About each meadow, glistening in the light.
Good mirth and wassail mark this time of year --
In all the gifts, one's endlessly sincere:
Cheer!
